A Heroic Tale of Summiteers to Saviours

50 years after the first Indian climbed Mount Everest, 30 soldiers of the Indian Army decide to climb the highest peak in the world. However, their plans go awry after a series of devastating earthquakes hit Nepal on 25th April, 2015.
NDTV Prime presents the Award Winning Operation Everest

Operation Everest is a documentary film saluting the spirit of the Indian Army soldiers who aimed to conquer the highest peak of the world.

The documentary tracks the life changing journey of Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal and his team from New Delhi to Kathmandu, after successive devastating earthquakes hit Nepal on the 25th April, 2015. On their ascent to the deadly Khumbu Glacier, 22 climbers, along with NDTV's location producer Aamir Rafiq Peerzada along with camera crew Rakesh Solanky  and Sanjay Aggraval got trapped in a series of avalanches while the remaining members were caught at the Everest Base Camp.
